What makes a good pitch

Propose one clear reader question and explain the fresh, useful answer your piece would offer. Strong ideas have a distinct angle, a sensible scope and advice a general reader can assess without specialist help. Tell us why the subject suits Active Outdoor Living and what makes your approach different from a broad overview.

Suitable subjects

We are interested in planning, outdoor pastimes, places, and the care or reuse of ordinary gear. We are not looking for pieces that require hazardous work, professional instruction, unsupported claims or local rule-checking to be useful.
